TRANSFER CREDIT EVALUATIONS

Undergraduate Course Equivalents

C.W. Post accepts a maximum of 72 credits from two-year colleges and 96 credits from four-year colleges and universities. The minimum grade required for a course to transfer is C-. Students transferring directly to C.W. Post upon completion of an associate’s degree may transfer courses in which they received D grades, provided those courses were required for the degree.

Transfer Admissions will send you an official Student Transfer Evaluation within two weeks of your acceptance to C.W. Post. Updates will be mailed to you as we receive additional transcripts, including final, official ones that show grades for courses you’re taking right now.

  • The Student Transfer Evaluation lists transferable courses, but doesn’t show you how they will apply to your major. A C.W. Post academic counselor will provide you with this important information and guide you in course selection and registration. You can arrange to meet with a counselor for advisement and registration by calling Academic and Career Counseling at 516-299-2746.

Transfer Admissions also will provide preliminary credit evaluations prior to admission for students who want to know how credits from their previous schools will transfer.

If you have any questions about your official Student Transfer Evaluation or would like a preliminary, unofficial evaluation, please contact Transfer Admissions at 516-299-2900. You may also email transfercenter@cwpost.liu.edu.
