When To Apply For Financial Assistance
SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
Call, write or visit the C.W. Post Admissions Office and send in your application for admission. Submit the Preliminary Financial Aid Form to receive an estimated aid package.

OCTOBER - NOVEMBER (for enrollment in September)

Pick up the FAFSA and CSS/Financial Aid Profile registration form at any high school or Community College. All students can secure the forms at the Office of Financial Assistance or may apply on the internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Complete and submit the CSS/Financial Aid Profile using our code #2070.The CSS Profile may be completed on-line at www.collegeboard.org

JANUARY - MARCH 15

Submit the FAFSA for processing and forwarding to C.W. Post. Please use code #002751 on your FAFSA to designate C.W. Post as a recipient institution. New York State residents should also complete the Tuition Assistance Program application using code #0401. A pre-printed TAP application will be sent to the student's home address provided you list our processing code or another New York college/university on your FAFSA.

MARCH

C.W. Post mails out financial assistance packages on a rolling basis to all New Freshman and New Transfer aid applicants accepted for enrollment at C.W. Post. Students must notify the campus in writing of their acceptance or rejection of the financial assistance package within the required response time.

MAY - AUGUST

Campus mails out financial assistance packages to upperclassmen and graduate students. Students must notify the campus in writing of their acceptance or rejection of the financial assistance package within the required response time. The staff of the Financial Assistance Office will be available throughout the summer to discuss your financial aid, your plan for paying your tuition bill, (which is due in August) and alternative payment options.
