The Graduate Program in Environmental Studies at C.W. Post offers a Master of Science Degree with concentrations in Environmental Science and Environmental Management. The program prepares students for careers in the environmental field as scientists, planners, and administrators. The faculty is drawn from the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science/Management Engineering, Earth and Environmental Science, Economics, Philosophy, and Health Care and Public Administration.

The courses are taught at night so that students can hold their day jobs if needed. A wide variety of courses are offered every semester so there is no problem finding enough courses to fill one's schedule or or to graduate on time.

A thesis/internship option offers the flexibility to either direct one's own research or to work with a consulting firm or government organization to learn how environmental problems are approached and solved. We maintain an extensive list of internship contacts. Many students find the internship path a good way into a career.

Graduate Assistantships are offered through the Environmental Studies Office and the Department of Biology. The Financial Aid Office can be contacted for other forms of support.
