The New York Lambda Chapter of the national mathematics honor society Kappa Mu Epsilon was organized at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University under the direction of Dr. Sharon Kunoff during the Spring of 1982.The chapter installation and first initiation took place on the 2nd of May, 1983 with eight students and ten faculty becoming charter members. This year, at our annual initiation and dinner, we honored Dr. Kunoff, who is retiring, for her years of service to our society, our department and our profession. |
