LIBRARY DATABASES:
The following databases are available on campus and from home. A University I.D. card with a barcode
will provide access from off campus. Go to the Circulation Desk of the Library to obtain a barcode.
These databases will provide many full-text articles about all business topics including company and
industry information.
Use Hoover's Online to find overview, history, and some financial information about
your company. Easy links are provided for SEC filings (10-K).
In addition to the features found in Hoover's Online, the Mergent database provides 15
years of financials, investment information, annual reports, and EDGAR (SEC) filings.
Financials can be downloaded to Excel, and reports of multiple companies can be created.
Use "Advanced Search" to locate company and industry information, investment reports,
history, rankings, and many current articles.
Business Source
Premier provides full text articles for over 8,000 scholarly business journals and
other sources, including full text for more than 1,100 scholarly business publications. Coverage
includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for
more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922. Includes detailed company
profiles for the world's 10,000 largest companies.
Produced by the same company as the Business & Company Resource Center, this
database provides similar information in a somewhat different format.
The ProQuest databases provide a wealth of information in full-text articles. Use the
"Advanced Search" to locate articles by specific company and/or subject heading.
In addition to research and publication on many management topics, the Conference Board publishes
the Consumer Confidence Index, the U.S. Leading Index, the Help Wanted Index,
Business Cycle Indicators, and other economic news and forecasts.
The National Bureau of Economic Research is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization
dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works, and disseminating
unbiased economic research. Many of the Working Papers are eventually published in scholarly journals.
