Clinical Pathology Websites
- University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Online
Case Database
- The Department of Pathology at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine has formatted many cases for
online viewing. The case database is growing constantly, with several members of the University of
Pittsburgh's School of Medicine contributing cases on a regular basis.
- CHORUS (Collaborative Hypertext of Radiology)
- CHORUS is a "quick reference" hypertext for physicians and
medical students. More than 1,100 documents describe different diseases, radiological findings,
differential-diagnosis lists ("gamuts"), and pertinent anatomy, pathology, and physiology. These are
arranged by organ system and are interconnected by hypertext links. Documents are very brief and
generally do not contain images. The documents may also be retrieved by title search. New contributors are
welcomed as either authors or reviewers. The site is provided by the Medical College of Wisconsin USA.
- Index to Pathology Documents
- A collection of short documents on various diseases from the archives of the Central Middlesex Hospital
Trust. Each document contains images and a brief description.
- Urbana Atlas of Pathology
- The Urbana Atlas of Pathology is a collection of visual images (collected by Donald R. Thursh M.D and
Dr. Patricia J. Morchoe M.D.) provided by the University of Illinois College of Medicine. All images are
accompanied by a legend. There are 6 volumes: Overview of General Pathology, Cardiovascular
Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, Pulmonary Pathology, Renal Pathology, and selected normal images.
Volumes 3-6 are frames based. This resource is aimed at medical students.
- Interactive Case Study Companion
to Robbins Pathologic Basis of Disease
- This site offers medical students self-paced, self-study cases on human organs and systems and is based on
the text Robbins Pathologic Basis of Disease by RS Cotran, V Kumar and SL Robbins, 5th edition, 1994.
- Radiology Case Museum
- This Radiology Museum is a database of radiological pathology cases, coded using the Americal College
of Radiology ACR classification. For each case, an image is shown, with information on the clinical
presentation, features in the image, diagnosis and differentiation.
