Professional Experience and Career Planning (PEP) at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University is a full-service career office servicing students and alumni of Long Island University, and members of the community seeking career related assistance. Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education placements are work experiences for students of Long Island University based in their field of study. These placements allow skill development and industry contact while allowing the student to earn money to assist with college expenses and build their marketability before graduation. Career Counseling

Counseling sessions are tailored to the needs of each client. Do you need help deciding on:

	jump-starting your job search
	or a combination of the above?

PEP Services are free to all LIU Students!

Career Assessment Battery: This battery can include:

	the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
	the Self Directed Search (SDS)
	the Career Orientations Inventory
	the Career Thoughts Inventory (CTI)
	and other activities to assess career related interests, skills, and values.

Resumes and Job Search Correspondence
Want someone to help revise your resume or cover letters, or have you never written a resume or cover letter? Our career counselors can give you the knowledge on how to compose high impact resumes and cover letters.

Online Resume Critiques -- through JobNet
By uploading your resume to JobNet, your resume will be automatically be critiqued by one of our counselors within 24-48 hours (longer during busy periods, over the weekend and holidays).

Mock Interviews
Having difficulty interviewing? Why not sit with a career counselor who will videotape an interview with you. They will critique your presentation and give you helpful hints on interview concerns including:

	question responses
	body language
	attire

Credential Files

PEP has partnered with Interfolio, Inc. to manage your portfolio online. Logon to www.interfolio.com

Your credential file as managed by Interfolio can include:

Fee for maintaining file is $15 per year. Additional mailing charges are:
