Your Community. Your University

The Office of Community Relations was established to serve as a link between the University and the community. Since service to the community is one of the core values of the University's mission, the C.W. Post Campus is committed to fully integrating, partnering with and contributing to the local neighborhood and the general public.

Our office maintains regular contact with residents and local leaders to keep them informed about campus plans, new programs and University activities. The office plays a key role in communicating the University's policies, projects, needs and contributions to the local communities, and reflecting the public's needs and concerns back to the University. We value our role as a good neighbor, one that honors its responsibilities to the surrounding communities.

The office seeks to:

  • participate and support programs in the local community.
  • foster a partnership between the University and the community by engaging faculty, staff and students in community service.
  • educate and provide programs to our neighbors to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.
  • encourage community participation in the rich and varied arts and culture, educational and intellectually stimulating programs
  • inspire intellectual development and personal enrichment.
