Hillwood Commons is the cornerstone of C.W. Post culture and community outside of the classroom. A Student Union, Hillwood Commons provides C.W. Post faculty, administrators, alumni, guests, and most importantly students - a comfortable and accessible student centered environment reflective of CW Post’s commitment to our student’s needs.
Hillwood Commons is also the home of many of the student clubs and organizations on campus. Whether it is a coffee house poetry night in the newly renovated state of the art Pioneer Room or the weekly movie being shown in the cinema – there is always something to do in Hillwood Commons. In addition to various student groups, Hillwood Commons is the location for numerous professional offices. Professional services include the Student Art League Gallery, the Hillwood Art Museum, Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union, Hillwood Cinema, Hillwood Recital Hall, Hillwood Café, Java City, Subway, the Hillwood Computer Lab, and the newly opened Center for Student Information and the Little Shop of Commons convenience store.
